Head of Nonprofit Partnerships

Remote or Atlanta, GA

Overview:

Daymaker is seeking a high-performing, heart-centered person to lead and expand nonprofit partnerships for our growing startup.

Background on Daymaker and the need:

Daymaker is an online giving platform, and our mission is to share joy by creating possibilities for children. We believe in giving as a vehicle for us to promote our individual and collective well-being while transferring resources so every kid has the potential to lead a life of physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness. Our giving platform lets companies run seasonal giving campaigns like Back-to-School and Holidays that enable employees to purchase holistic items for specific children supported by local nonprofit partners.

We worked with over 70 companies last year supporting 68 nonprofits across the US and Canada, ranging from local programs of national organizations like Boys & Girls Clubs, to hyper-local organizations like Hand, Heart & Soul Project in Atlanta. We make a multi-year commitment to empower the children served by our partners, and we’re seeking the right person to manage existing relationships and create new partnerships as we grow.

Our nonprofit partners and the communities they serve are at the heart of what we do. This person will help nonprofits coordinate everything it takes to execute a successful giving campaign, ranging from making sure kid profiles are complete to ensuring that items arrived and were distributed. They'll collaborate closely with our partners to understand the ways that Daymaker could be of greater service to the children in their programming as we evolve. Finally, they’ll serve as thought partners to our technology team to help improve our product offering.

Who we’re looking for:

  • A leader with direct experience, personally or professionally, in the communities we serve
  • Someone who can innovate and create new ways of serving; defining company priorities and executing on initiatives while soliciting and incorporating input from nonprofit partners
  • The ideal candidate is organized, a strong communicator, and can manage a process that enables us to serve our nonprofits well and execute complex, timely giving campaigns
  • At least 3-5 years professional experience preferred
  • A fit with our team, which values intentionality, care, partnership, and play

The specifics:

  • You’ll report directly to the CEO, Brent Macon, as a core member of the executive team, functioning as an individual contributor initially with the goal of building and managing a team over time
  • The role is full-time and can be remote or based in Atlanta; ideal start time is April-May 2022
  • You’ll be compensated competitively, with a stake in the upside created by Daymaker’s success
  • It’s imperative on many levels that we build a team with a diversity of perspectives and backgrounds
